Driver Terms and Conditions
Welcome to RideIt – a platform built for drivers, with zero commission and full control in your hands. These Terms & Conditions govern your rights and responsibilities as a registered driver on RideIt.
By signing up and accepting rides through RideIt, you agree to these terms.
1. Driver Eligibility
To join RideIt, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Hold a valid driving license
- Own or operate a registered auto or car
- Submit accurate documents including:
- Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC)
- Driving License
- Insurance
- Aadhaar Card
- Police verification (if required)
2. Subscription Plans & Payments
RideIt charges no commission on rides. Instead, you subscribe as follows:
Auto Drivers:
- ₹19/day or ₹456/month (20% discount)
Car Drivers:
- ₹39/day or ₹936/month (20% discount)
- Subscription fees are non-refundable
- Monthly subscribers get unlimited ride access for 30 days
3. Ride Acceptance & Conduct
- Accepting a ride means you agree to fulfill it promptly and professionally
- You must reach the pickup location as per app directions
- Drivers are expected to behave respectfully and avoid:
- Overcharging
- Refusing rides after accepting
- Misconduct, abuse, or discrimination
4. Payment from Customers
- All payments are collected directly from the customer after the ride via:
- RideIt does not interfere in fare collection
- You must not demand extra money beyond app fare (except approved extras like pet ride, pause charges, or extra passenger fees)
5. Cancellation Policy
- If you cancel a ride frequently, your account may be suspended
- If a customer cancels after you’ve arrived, they will be charged ₹20 (you collect this directly)
- To claim this, you may be asked to submit location proof or selfie
6. Ride Rules
You agree to follow platform policies like:
- ₹30 per extra passenger (beyond 3)
- ₹50 additional fare for pet-friendly rides
- ₹10 charge after 3-minute pause, ₹5 per extra minute
- RideIt reserves the right to update these charges based on user feedback and operational needs
7. Driver Benefits
- You keep 100% of your earnings
- No hidden charges or commission
- Monthly subscribers save up to 20%
- Access to 24/7 local customer support
- In case of accidents where you help a victim reach the hospital, RideIt will compensate you fully
8. Account Suspension & Termination
RideIt may suspend or terminate your account for:
- Misbehavior or safety complaints
- Repeated cancellations or customer complaints
- Fraudulent activity or fake documents
You may also request account closure by contacting support.
9. Data & Privacy
- We collect personal and vehicle details to ensure safe operations
- Your location and ride data may be used for quality checks and legal compliance
- We do not share or sell your data to third parties without consent
10. Disputes and Complaints
- For ride disputes, missed payments, or other issues, contact our Driver Support Team
- We aim to resolve all issues fairly, usually within 48 hours
11. Legal Compliance
- You are responsible for having a valid permit, insurance, and pollution certificate
- RideIt is not liable for any fines or penalties due to lack of proper documents
12. Changes to Terms
RideIt may update these terms from time to time. Major changes will be notified through the app or via SMS/email.
